Student Lisa Coan ignored by KSA...

The sad truth of the matter is that the Reduce All Fees - New Student Vision Party has abused the power given to them by the students of Kwantlen University College.
The latest evidence for this comes in the form of Kwantlen Univeristy College student (and elected Board of Governors Representative) Lisa Coan's attempts to obtain information regarding the Audited Financial Statements of the Kwantlen Univeristy College Student Association for the year ending December 31, 2005 as distributed to students at the June 15, 2006 KSA Annual General Meeting.
In spite of numerous attempts to get them answered, Lisa's e-mails have gone ignored by members of the Reduce All Fees - New Student Vision Party who currently control the KSA. Specifically, the following correspondence was exchanged by Lisa and the KSA...

By ignoring Lisa's requests, the Reduce All Fees - New Student Vision Party controlled KSA is in violation of the following provisions of the Society Act, Bylaws and Regulations (the rules) that govern the KSA...

36 (1) A society must keep proper accounting records in respect of all its financial and other transactions.
(2) Without limiting subsection (1), a society must keep records of the following:
(a) all money received and disbursed by the society and the matter in respect of which the receipt and disbursement took place;
(b) every asset and liability of the society;
(c) every other transaction affecting the financial position of the society.
Inspection by members
37 Unless otherwise provided in the bylaws, the documents, including the accounting records, of a society must be open to the inspection of a director or member on reasonable notice to the society.
