Family Identification is a program designed to give parents a
permanent record of their child's photo, fingerprints, weight and
height in a convenient, readily accessible package that can be used
in the event of an emergency.
This package also includes a laminated wallet sized ID card that
parents can carry with them at all times.
And children aren't the only ones who can have it done. Senior citizens,
adults and others who need some form of picture identification can
have this service performed for them.

Family Identification can be done at any local District Police
Station in Surrey. Just come in or phone any station to book an
appointment with a trained Family Identification Volunteer. It's
that simple.
Also watch for special Family Identification days, held throughout
the community at malls, storefronts, special events and local
schools.

The information in the completed package provides you with
invaluable information that will greatly assist you in the event of
an emergency.
Keep the package in a safe and readily accessible place with the
ID Card kept on you at all times.
Please note that no copies of the package are kept by anyone
connected with this program including station volunteers or the
police.
If you already have a package (and once you get one) - remember to
update regularly. As your children grow - their height, weight and
appearance changes - and so too should your Family Identification
package. You can update it yourself, or come back to the Community
Police Station to have it updated for you.
