Every year over 100 Canadians try and thousands more are seriously injured as a result of bike accidents. Head injuries account for approximately half of that total. Buy a helmet, where it and set the right example for younger right. Get yourself in the right head gear and protect yourself. Bike helmets must be worn at all times when riding bicycles, skateboards or while rollerblading -- they must be worn by everyone -- cause it's no longer your choice.

In September of 1996, new bicycle helmet laws took effect in British Columbia, Canada.
It applies to all cyclists, regardless of age, riding anywhere but on private property.
Any cyclists in violation of this law may receive a ticket for up to one hundred dollars.
Approximately 50 Canadians try every year from head injuries as a result of bicycle accidents. Many more permanently affected by brain damage.
The height of a person sitting on a byte is more than five feet. Falling from that position even if the bicycle is not moving, your head hits a ground at more than 12 mph, enough to cause irreversible injury to the brain. A child falls from this little is to feet can suffer brain injury.
Most bicycle accidents occur too young, in experience riders riding close to home.
A bicycle commented properly and more improperly can reduce the risk of serious brain injury by 85 percent.
Purchase your helmet from someone experienced in fitting one, and try on several makes defined one that fits well. Or indirectly, your helmet should cover your forehead to just above the eyebrows.
Most helmets, foam pads to improve the fit. Place correctly, your helmet should fits not enough that it will not move without and doing this track. Foam pads become compressed in time and do not give adequate protection -- sober place them.
The same helmet should be worn for inline skating and for bicycling.
Check that your helmet has a sticker of approval by a testing agency.
Do not put any other sticker on your helmet as it may give less protection in an accident.
If you drop your helmet on a concrete surface, give anyone. A hidden crack in the foam may fail to give adequate protection during an accident.
