personal poetry
steve lee's what the darkness doesn't know
warm wind

passionate fingers
easing through hair
so smoothly like

a knife through honey
butter that drips
so smoothly off
its tip like

the sweet seduction
and gentle rocking
motion of your
hips swaying and
interlocked with mine
so smoothly like

the ears of grain
gently blowing in
the warm wind

grain that is
cut and harvested
and blended into

warm bread that is
cut and harvested
and spread with
warm honey butter
and fed to
one another as

hands so passionately
move so easily
through indigo
skies and

blend down into a
pool of rose madder
to form petals
of a rose gently
blowing in the
warm wind

that greets our faces
as we stand with
passionate fingers
lifting up and pointing
toward the horizon
